We hope this finds you safe and well amid this COVID-19 Pandemic. We are very fortunate that this has had little spread throughout our development, though we recognize many of you have been directly affected by this widespread virus, resulting in grave illness and loss. Our hearts go out to all who grieve the loss of a loved one who has passed during this pandemic, whether it be from COVID-19 or another health impairment. These are certainly challenging times.
If you or a member of your home have been diagnosed positive or presumed positive for COVID-19, or if you are exhibiting symptoms consistent with this virus, please notify the Association immediately. While we will not share your identity with the community, it is essential that the Presidents be told so that we may keep our workers safe by minimizing exposure and making accommodations for such things as trash collection and utility closet (water shut-off) access. Please check in with your surrounding neighbors, and if you find an elderly or compromised resident who might need assistance or even just a note of cheer, please kindly let our Presidents know so we can check in on them.
This virus is highly contagious and lives on surfaces for an extended amount of time, including on outside communal surfaces. The playground, basketball and baseball courts remain closed. We will post an update when these recreation grounds will reopen. These grounds are monitored by multiple volunteer residents; for everyone’s health and safety, communicate this to your children. Respect and obey the rules to avoid being reported or being told to exit the premises. None of us wants to parent other adults and children. With Governor Wolf’s plans to lift restrictions, these recreation grounds will soon be available to enjoy by all!
While Council business has been on hold during the lockdown, the Presidents have managed the banking, accounting and essential business, as well as supporting our Maintenance Staff who have continued their work efforts to provide as little disruption as possible to our daily operations. Elections ballots will be delivered as per our Bylaws, though we anticipate a postponement of our Annual Meeting planned for May 18th. Also, stay tuned for an upcoming email announcing when online pool pass registration will begin. The pool will likely be delayed beyond the annual Memorial Day weekend opening.
We appreciate everyone’s ongoing commitment to paying their Association Common Expense on time. It is a difficult time for everyone, we understand, but the Association must still provide water, remove trash and pay our workers to maintain our grounds, all bills for which the Association must pay its vendors. The Association is dependent on our Common Expenses as its sole income and is based on our current expenses to continue operations and to provide such essentials as water and trash removal. We thank you all and are pleased to report that everyone submitted their April fees and no additional accounts were added to our delinquency report.*
It is our sincere hope that Providence Forge will rise from this pandemic stronger together, and that we will recover and thrive as individuals and as a united community.
Stay home. Stay safe. Stay well!
Truly,
PROVIDENCE FORGE ASSOCIATION
*If you find that you are not able to pay your fees, we implore you to contact us before you become 30 days late. We cannot, under any circumstance, waive Common Expenses, however Council may approve a repayment arrangement with proof of true financial hardship on an individual basis.
