Two New Opportunities to Save Energy and Money on Your Residential Electric Bill

Providence Forge Association is teaming up once again with PECO Smart Ideas to provide complimentary energy savings products to reduce residential electric bills. Association Presidents were able to coordinate with yet another division of PECO Smart Ideas, Multi Family Solutions (MFS), to bring more complimentary (free) energy saving solutions to your home just as we enter into cold weather season!

We have negotiated TWO new opportunities to save energy (and money) on your residential electric bill. Neither of these will be of any cost to the resident or to the Association. We encourage you to read the attached Benefits of Switching to LED Light Bulbs information sheet.

First, PECO’s Multi Family Solutions Team will be on-site to replace all light bulbs with new energy efficient LED light bulbs in all Common Area exterior (outdoor) closets. They will also install pipe wrap insulation around all exposed water pipes. This will take place Tuesday, October 9th through Thursday, October 11th, and will require access to all exterior closets for the short duration of each install. No appointment or action is necessary.

As a component of this exterior savings, the MFS Team has agreed to provide complimentary light bulbs for all of our new patio and porch light fixtures. These will be installed at the time that Sceptor Power Solutions installs our new light fixtures and will not require any action or appointment on the part of the residents.

The second savings opportunity is similar to what we have done several years ago. The PECO Multi Family Solutions Team will be on-site later this month (dates to be announced) to install complimentary LED light bulbs in ALL interior light fixtures throughout your home. There is no cost to the resident or to the Association, however PECO requires that a simple survey must be completed so that the MFS Team knows how many and what kind of bulbs they’ll be replacing. This survey will also be used to calculate estimated energy savings as a result of converting to energy efficient LEDs.

PECO’s survey must be submitted to the PF Office no later than October 20, 2018, to be included in this promotion. It will be necessary for the MFS Team to access your unit to install the LED light bulbs at a pre-scheduled appointment time. Click here to complete the Customer Lighting Survey.

To ensure safety and security of our residents’ personal property, a PF representative (either maintenance or volunteer) will be accompanying the Peco MFS Team as they move through the development and will be present for all installations.

We hope that everyone will take full advantage of these electrical savings opportunities. Please complete and submit your PECO survey at your earliest convenience and be ready to watch the savings add up!
